Some of the worst case scenario accidents here in Davao City is the involvement of a Container Van Truck Vs any other vehicles or even electricity post. There are several reasons why accident can happen on these particular vehicles.
1.) Their truck is not capable of carrying container vans.
2.) The Container van is much more heavier than the allowed load limit for the type of truck.
3.) Negligence on the part of not checking if the hook which holds the van bolted to the truck.
4.) Drowsing drivers, mirages the the tired eyes causing sleep, the next thing you know, 911 rescue is using the "Jaws of Life" just to get you out from the crumpled drivers seat.
5.) Bad eyesight; If your vision isn't that good like when we were still young, admit it, and try to consult for wearing glasses. It will help a lot
6.) Risky Drivers/Driving: If you have the skills in drifting or precision driving, be advised, do not continue to drive. This type of job is all about safety/defensive driving, you are handling a difficult load.
7.) So, and so on: There is more, but let's just leave it to that basic reminders.
So if you happen to trail side by side with a container van truck, check for possible irregularities, meaning? Loose grip on the locks that stick the van on top of the truck.
When sleepy, do not continue driving, instead find a shade and take a nap for a short while.
